The MSA Advantage 4100 OptimAir Mask-Mounted PAPR combines a full facepiece with powered air-purifying respiratory protection for demanding industrial environments. This configuration features a black silicone facepiece with a rubber harness for a secure, comfortable fit, while the lightweight facepiece-mounted blower supplies filtered air during use.

Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, the system provides up to eight hours of continuous operation. A dual-rate smart charger can fully recharge a discharged battery in less than three hours, while the NiMH battery avoids the memory effect associated with NiCad batteries. A water-resistant HEPA filter and Type HE Optifilter cartridges provide particulate filtration, making the system suitable for applications such as asbestos, nuclear, and lead abatement work.
